When the family-owned Good Food Group was acquired by Maj Invest Equity in January 2019, it was agreed with the Christensen family that there would be a gradual change in management. This helped to maintain momentum while identifying the new forces that would take Good Food Group to the next level and realise its ambitious growth strategy.
Now the management change is finally complete and a new strong management team with extensive international experience from the food industry is ready to take over.
As previously communicated, Good Food Group has hired Lillie Li Valeur, who will join as the new CEO on 1 March 2020. In addition, Stine Aare Jensen has been hired as the new CFO with effect from 1 April 2020. The two will form the company's leadership team together with Lars Petersen, who joined as COO in August 2019.
Lillie Li Valeur has worked for Arla Foods since 2002 and comes from a position as Vice President responsible for the Milk Based Beverages business unit, which includes the Cocio brand and Arla's partnership with Starbucks, which includes all Starbucks activities in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Lillie's strong international experience and proven ability to drive results will be a great asset to Good Food Group, where she will lead the realisation of the company's international growth strategy together with the new CFO and COO.
Stine Aare Jensen comes from a position as CFO in Kohberg Bakery Group A/S with responsibility for Finance and IT. Stine is a qualified accountant and has worked in the food industry since 2001, where she has played a key role in strengthening financial management and reporting in close cooperation with business units and management, most recently at Kohberg and previously at the bakery company Lantmånnen.
Lars Petersen also brings many years of management experience from the food industry. Lars has been responsible for business operations, development and supply chain most recently at Kohberg Bakery Group A/S and previously at Rynkeby, Arla Foods, Capri Sun Group in Germany and Orkla in the USA - all with impressive business results.
"We are very pleased that we have succeeded in bringing three such strong profiles on board Good Food Group, all of whom have in-depth knowledge of the food industry", says Chairman of the Board of Good Food Group, Jørgen Dirksen and continues:
"We have a clear ambition to grow internationally over the coming years, and this requires both confident strategic leadership, focused execution and effective financial management. With our new strong management team, I am confident that we are in the best position to achieve our goals."
