Black rice is whole grain rice and tastes slightly nutty. After cooking, the rice turns a nice purple colour. The black rice is encased in a layer of bran, which contains dietary fibre, protein, vitamins and minerals. The black rice is particularly suitable for fish dishes and vegetables.
