The sunflower is not one flower, but many hundreds. The flowers compete to attract bees, so the sunflower has a darker centre that can only be seen under ultraviolet light, which insects can see.
The sunflower's name means "he who follows the sun" and that's exactly what the sunflower does. It reaches high into the sky, following the path of the sun, from which it draws its energy. At the same time, the sunflower has a shape and colour reminiscent of the sun.
Sunflower honey has a nice yellow colour, a light sweetness and a round taste. It is liked by most people.
