Cranberry marinated herring with apple and dill

Preparation

1. Drain a jar of marinated herring and weigh out the herring layer.

2. Mix the herring layer and cranberry jam together well.

3. Add the marinated herring to the cranberry brine and leave to soak overnight.

4. Toss the apple cubes with the lemon and dill and leave to stand for 30 minutes.

5. Serve the cranberry marinated herring with the raw marinated apples and top with onion rings

Tip: Add more flavor to the cranberry sauce by adding orange peel, ginger or other flavoring
