About the factory

All honey and syrup sold under Good Food Group's Jakobsens brand is produced at the factory in Aulum. All production and tapping of honey in Aulum takes place under fixed quality procedures and contributes to a high quality of our products. In the video you can get an insight into daily life at the factory.

Jakobsens

Environmental activities

For many years, the factory in Aulum has focused on continuously improving the optimisation and streamlining of production processes. Through this proactive approach, production capacity has been increased by 25%, but the same energy consumption is still used. This is a significant environmental measure, as production emits less CO2.

In addition, Aulum has also implemented another measure to reduce energy consumption, which involves optimising their palletisation of products for transport. When the goods are palletised, there is no operation, but even if the operation stops, there is still energy consumption. By making palletising more efficient and goods packed more optimally, there are fewer hours when operations stop. This results in a reduction of energy waste, which is good for the environment.

The factory in Aulum has also achieved Fairtrade certification for its honey production. This certification is well respected as it takes into account the environment in production and ensures that beekeepers receive a fair income and good working conditions, regardless of country of origin.
