Dalby Mølle produces oatmeal and other related cereal products. The mill specialises in steam-cooked, rolled and sliced grain products. Oatmeal is produced both for private label brands and for our own brands. All products are based on the unprocessed grain.
The history of the mill dates back to the 15th century, when it served as a grain mill for the farmers in the area. The present buildings date from 1857, with alterations and extensions in the 1980s.
Oatmeal production began in 1930 and the product portfolio has expanded considerably since then. The main part of the products produced consists of organic oatmeal for Denmark, Germany and Greenland, while gluten-free oatmeal and millet products are increasingly produced.
At Dalby Mølle, we always focus on the environment around us. Most recently, an energy-saving project has been implemented on the production equipment, saving the environment 720,000 kilowatt hours of electricity per year.
The beautiful nature around Dalby Mølle is a high priority, which is why they also helped to build a new dam at Dalby Mølleå, which will help the fish further up the river system to spawn. The finished project was completed in 2009, with a 550-metre serpentine weir and an average drop of 1.25 per cent.
